We’re on a mission to make investing better for everyone in Europe. More specifically, we’re making it light years better (sorry… we had to!). We’re combining multi-currency accounts with unlimited access to global markets so that everyone in Europe can invest without sneaky hidden fees or unnecessary barriers.

What you will do

We're looking for a freelance localisation specialist to help us make investing easy for all Dutch-speaking customers, and to help us out with the legal translations. If abbreviations like CPI, VC, and MMF don’t scare you but rather make you want to roll up your sleeves and start translating, then it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you and we would like you to reach out to us!

• Be the voice of Lightyear in Dutch
• Translate, transcreate and proofread content to Dutch (app, web, comms, ads, blog posts, etc.)
• Conduct MTPE, reviews and LQA
• Ensure accuracy and cultural relevance across performed tasks

Volumes

In the first 2 months, the approximate workload is 20+ hours a week (to get minimum legally required translations done), and after that 1-2h per week, depending on the incoming requests.

Requirements

• Native/Bilingual proficiency in English and Dutch
• Previous experience with legal translations
• Previous experience in website and/or app localisation and translation
• Previous experience translating fintech content
• Fluency in different CAT tools
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
